PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an safety hot-air heater, in which it is unnecessary that combustion is shut off in the case of a slight dust choke-up of an air-inlet filter, or clogging with obstacles and the like, while the combustion is promptly shut off to prevent excessive increase in temperature of the inside of the heater body, under abnormal condition of failure of an air-supply fan. SOLUTION: In the hot-air heater, an upper end 3a of an air-inlet 3 of a main body case 1 is formed higher than an upper end 2a of a hot-air outlet 2. A temperature sensor 12 is placed nearer to the air-inlet 3 than the upper part of the opening 6 of a heat chamber 5. When the temperature sensor 12 detects temperature at least a predetermined temperature or higher, abnormal condition of failure of the air-supply fan 8 is detected, and combustion in the combustion equipment 4 is sopped.
