PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reserve tank for an internal combustion engine capable of attaching and detaching detachable engine auxiliary machinery to and from an engine room. SOLUTION: This reserve tank 20 is constituted such that an inclined face 20a inclining downward and gradually from the front toward the rear is formed on an upper face of a tank main body 20d collecting cooling water and a plane part 20b is recessed in a part of the inclined face 20a. A cap 21 having an overflow passage part 21a is mounted on a water filling port 20e formed in the plane part 20b. When the detachable engine auxiliary machinery arranged behind the reserve tank 20 is attached to and detached from the engine room 1, it is carried along the inclined face 20a of the reserve tank 20 for attachment and detachment. Furthermore, it is possible to provide a wide work space around the detachable engine auxiliary machinery by forming the inclined face 20a in the reserve tank 20.
