PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a cooling property of a control unit in an engine generator. SOLUTION: This engine generator is provided with an engine 3 and a power generation body 4 driven by the engine 3 to control a generating voltage by an inverter unit 11. A cooling fan 52 is attached to a crankshaft 34 to cool the engine 3 and the power generation body 4 by cooling air W1 generated by the cooling fan. A cooling passage 79 through which cooling air can flow is formed in the inverter unit 11. A part of the cooling air W1 becomes cooling air W2 by a cooling fan 80 driven by the engine 3. The cooling air W2 flows through the cooling passage 79 to cool the inverter unit 11 from its inside.
