PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device and an electrification method, by which a defective electrification is hardly caused to obtain a stable electrifying characteristic even in the case of repeatedly electrifying a positive electrification type organic photoreceptor provided with a single photoconductive layer which simultaneously incorporates an electric charge generating substance, a positive hole transport substance, an electronic transport substance and an organic binder resin and whose resistivity R is low such as R<10<11>Ωm. SOLUTION: In the image forming device provided with a single layer positive electrification type organic photoreceptor and an electrifying member to perform an electrifying process required for an electrophotographic process at a photoreceptor thereof, the electrifying member is a non-contact type electrifying member.
