LATENT CRIMPING POLYAMIDE YARN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent crimped polyamide yarn producible at a low cost and giving a cloth having sufficient stretchability and provide its production method. SOLUTION: The latent crimpling polyamide yarn is composed of a fiber obtained by the side-by-side bonding of two kinds of polyamides having viscosity difference. The relative viscosity difference of the polyamide having high viscosity and the polyamide having low viscosity satisfies formula (1): 0.4<=Δηh-Δηl<=1.6 whereinΔηh is the relative viscosity of the polyamide having high viscosity andΔηl is the relative viscosity of the polyamide having low viscosity. The fiber has a boiling water shrinkage of 3-25%, a percentage crimp of >=20% and an elastic modulus of >=70%.
