PURPOSE: A part adsorption head of a surface mount device is provided to align only a motor and a center shaft of a rotary shaft to assemble easily a part absorbing head by using a plurality of couplings. CONSTITUTION: A motor(10) is used for generating predetermined rotary force and transmitting the rotary force to a center shaft(11). A ball spline portion(20) is used for reciprocating movement according to rotary motion of the motor(10). A rotary shaft portion(30) is moved to a vertical direction. In addition, the rotary shaft portion(30) is rotated to absorb or mount components. A plurality of couplings(41,42) are used for connecting the center shaft(11) of the motor(10) with one end of the ball spline portion(20) and the other end of the ball spline portion(20) with the rotary shaft(30) in order to transmit the rotary force of the rotary shaft of the motor to the ball spline portion(20) or the rotary force of the ball spline portion(20) to the rotary shaft portion(30), respectively.
