PURPOSE: A method for inputting and searching the Korean alphabet is provided to search a Korean character inputted by inputting only an initial consonant by dividing and storing initial consonants of a Korean character through input devices of various information communication devices. CONSTITUTION: A Korean character string or a mixed character string is generally inputted through an input device of a communication device by a user(S11). Only an initial consonant of a Korean character out of the character string is separated successively(S12). Non-Korean character out of the character string except Korean characters is separated(S13). An initial consonant code corresponded to an initial consonant of the separated Korean character is searched successively(S14). The successively searched initial consonant code is stored in a database of the communication device(S15). The stored character string in which initial consonant code is stored in the database is stored in the database(S16). The stored character string is searched and output on a monitor of the communication device. In detail, an initial consonant of a Korean character string is inputted successively. A code corresponded to the inputted initial consonant is searched from an initial consonant code stored in the database. A Korean character string corresponded to the searched initial consonant code is output on a monitor of the communication device.
