PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp housing for a projector in which an internal temperature rise is efficiently prevented by intensively guiding cooling air to a heat generating part. SOLUTION: The lamp housing 1 is provided with a lamp 11 being a light source and a concave reflecting mirror 12 that condenses radiation light emitted from the lamp 11. An inlet hole 13 into which outside air flows is formed at one side surface of the lamp housing 1, and an outlet hole from which the introduced outside air flows out is formed at the other side surface. A partition plate 16 is extended in almost parallel to the optical axis of the lamp 11 from the back wall of the lamp housing 1. The partition plate 16 is juxtaposed with the outlet hole 14 in the vicinity of the outlet hole 14, the one end of the plate 16 is fixed to the casing back wall of the lamp housing 1, the tip thereof is extended to near the neck part 121 of the concave reflecting mirror 12, and the height thereof is formed so as to be equal to the internal height of the lamp housing 1. |
