PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module and an optical communication module with which noise characteristics can be improved. SOLUTION: The light emission module 1 is provided with a light emission module main body 10, a ferrule 30, a sleeve 40 and a coating member 50. The main body 10 is formed by sealing a light emitting element assembly 12 which houses a light emitting element 19 by a resin so that one end of the assembly 12 is exposed outside. An optical fiber 31 is inserted into and fixed to the ferrule 30. The sleeve 40 holds the ferrule 30, and is fixed to the one end of the light emitting element assembly 12 to optically couple the optical fiber 31 and the light emitting element 19. A coating member 50 coats at leas the one end of the light emitting element assembly 12, the ferrule 30 and the sleeve 40 and has a radio wave absorption function. |
