PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fixing a container lid in which material such as paper, for example, hardly posing any environmental problem is used and a lid member can be fixed neatly to an opening without producing any clearance even if either a container body or a lid member accompanied by the opening having a shape with a plurality of corners is formed. SOLUTION: This method for fixing a container lid is comprised of the steps of preparing both a cylindrical container main body 10 having a thermo sensitive adhering function part 10a in an area near an opening, and a lid member 12 having a closing segment 12a and its edge part; constituting the edge part by a first segment 12c extending from a circumferential edge of the closing segment in a direction crossing with a plane of the closing segment, a curved segment 12d curved by about 180 deg. at the extending end of the first segment, and a second segment 12e extending in right opposite direction to that of the first segment from the curved end of the curved segment; constituting a groove 12b having a size and a shape corresponding to the edge of the opening by these segments; inserting the closing segment of the lid member into the opening; covering the groove of the edge part on the opening; depressing the first segment and the second segment against areas near openings of the inner circumferential surface and the outer circumferential surface of the container main body; and heating the thermo sensitive adhering function part to cause the first segment to be adhered and fixed. |
