PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-assisted bicycle capable of stably detecting the residual battery power with high accuracy. SOLUTION: The power-assisted bicycle for adding the auxiliary power in parallel according to the stepping force comprises an electric motor 37 for outputting the auxiliary power, a battery 17 for supplying the power to the electric motor, and a one-chip microcomputer 14 for controlling the power- assisted bicycle. The microcomputer 14 performs the discharging function of discharging the battery for the predetermined time at the predetermined current, the time measuring function of measuring the recovery time until the voltage of the battery after the discharge by the discharging means is returned to the voltage before the discharge, and the residual battery power estimating function of estimating the residual battery power based on the recovery time measured by the time measuring means.
