PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle bearing for universal joint with a sealing member, capable of restraining wear to dust lip and maintaining sealing performance for a long time. SOLUTION: This needle bearing for universal joint includes a bottomed cylindrical bearing cup 4 which is rotatably fitted onto each shaft 2 of cross hardware 1, and a sealing member 50 for sealing the clearance between the open end of the bearing cup 4 and a base end portion 2a of the shaft 2. The sealing member 50 includes an inner lip 8 clamped between the outer periphery of the base end portion 2a of the shaft 2 and the inner periphery of the open end of the bearing cup 4, and a dust lip 52 capable of being elastically bent in the radial direction, while brought into pressure contact with the taper outer periphery 4a of the bearing cup. On the base end side of the dust lip 52, there is provided a thin annular portion 53 of which the wall thickness is smaller than that of any other portion. An annular lightening groove 54, which permits easy bending so as to bring a front end surface 52a into surface contact with the taper outer periphery 4a, is provided in between the thin annular portion 53 and the front end portion 52a.
