PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass filled phenolic resin molding material which can give a molded article having excellent mechanical strength. SOLUTION: In the glass fiber filled phenolic resin molding material comprising a phenolic resin and glass fibers as the essential components, the molding material comprises (A) glass fibers having a fiber diameter of 9-13μm and a fiber length of 1-6 mm, (B) glass fibers having a fiber diameter of 4-7μm and a fiber length of 1-6 mm, and (C) glass fibers having a fiber diameter of 15-25μm and a fiber length of 1-6 mm with a content of the above glass fibers (A) of 40-80 wt.% based on the total amount of glass fibers and with a weight ratio [(B)/(C)] of the above glass fibers (B) to the above glass fibers (C) of 1-4.
