PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a color image without increasing the storage capacity of an LUT(look-up table) and the storage capacity of a buffer or restricting the color number of color dividing data. SOLUTION: This image recorder receives the color dividing data of at least two colors that constitute one sheet of color image, and records the color image on a recording medium that consists of a color photosensitive material using an additive color mixing method and having at least each coloring layer of Y, M and C. The image recorder is provided with image recording means 320R, 320G and 320B that record the color image on the recording medium by combining the light emission of light sources with a plurality of waves. The image recorder forms the color image by applying a multiple exposure to a negative color photosensitive material, and carrying out the color conversion of the LUT according to the multiple exposures. As a result, the storage capacity of the LUT and the storage capacity of the buffer are not increased than before, and the color number of color dividing data is not restricted.
