PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground sill material for a house, which has good workability similar to that of wood, and is free from a fear of corrosion and erosion by termites without chemical treatment. SOLUTION: The ground sill material 1 is mounted on a foundation 2 of the house and constitutes a ground sill. The ground sill material is long in shape, and formed of a cement-based molding having reinforcing fibers mixed therewith. Further, rear part specific gravity of the cement-based molding is set to 0.6 to 1.3.
