METHOD FOR CARRYING OUT SILK FIBROIN PROCESSING OF FIBER OR FIBER PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silk fibroin-processing method for applying silk fibroin to fibers or fiber products, imparting elegant touch feeling, good feeling of wearing, drape property, etc., which excellent silk has to fibers or fiber products and having excellent resistance to washing. SOLUTION: This processing method comprises preparing a silk fibroin solution obtained by dissolving 10-25% silk fibroin into a solution obtained by dissolving 30-55% lithium bromide in a mixed solution of dry distillation extract of plant with inorganic calcium salt solution and an aqueous solution of ethyl alcohol containing ethyl alcohol and water at a specific ratio and then treating the fiber or fiber product by using a treating solution obtained by diluting the silk fibroin solution so that silk fibroin concentration becomes 0.05-5% or pretreating the fiber or fiber product with the mixed solution and then treating the pretreated fiber or fiber product with an aqueous solution of silk fibroin diluted with water so that silk fibroin concentration becomes 0.05-5%.
