PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work affixing method and an apparatus thereof in which a work can be reliably sucked and held even when the work peeled from a mount is a flexible porous sheet. SOLUTION: This work affixing apparatus comprises pinch rollers 14 and 15 for holding a work 12 having an adhesive surface joined with the mount 11 in a peelable manner, a cutter 17 for cutting the work 12 pulled therefrom at predetermined intervals, a peeling means 18 for peeling the cut work 12 from the mount 11, discharging means 19 and 20 for discharging the peeled mount 11, a work receiving means 31 having a work supporting surface in which the work 12 peeled from the mount 11 is fed and its adhesive surface is peelably supported with the work supporting surface moving at a substantially equal speed to the work carrying speed, a sucking means 27 which is abutted on the surface of the cut work 12 to suck and hold the work, and a manipulator 30 which drives the sucking means 27 at substantially equal speed to the work carrying speed, and affixes the cut work 12 to an affixing member 26.
