PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for the measurement of a liquid level, wherein a change in the shape of the liquid level can be acquired quantitatively and with satisfactory accuracy by a simple measuring system. SOLUTION: The liquid-level measuring apparatus is provided with a laser oscillator 1, a diffusion means 2 which diffuses a laser beam from the laser oscillator 1 and which generates a speckle pattern LS whose intensity distribution is distributed to be granular, a parabolic reflection means 8 by which the laser beam from the means 2 is converted into parallel light and by which the parallel light is guided to the liquid level S as a measuring object, a screen 4 on which the parallel light transmitted through the liquid level S is projected, an imaging means 5 which photographs the speckle pattern LS on the screen 4, and a liquid-level-shape reconstitution part 6 which processes the speckle pattern LS from the imaging means 5 and which measures the shape of the liquid level S. |
