SOLUTION: In a machining method in which an optical element to be machined is placed on a machining tool and a surface of the optical element is machined by the rotational motion of the machining tool and the oscillating motion of the optical element, the machining quantity of the optical element is measured in an interlocking manner with the oscillating motion.
