ARTIFICIAL LEATHER AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A process of preparing artificial leather by forming winkles on the external surface of artificial suede is provided. This method permits formation of numbers of wrinkles on suede, therefore the obtained product has a natural shape and rough surface feel. CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic foamed resin is thermally boned to a pile which forms an inner lining and aged for a specified time. The thermoplastic foamed resin is heated and adhered to artificial suede which forms an outer lining. Thereafter, the pile and artificial suede are heated at 150 to 180deg.C for a specified time in a vacuum oven. The artificial leather comprises: a basic fabric in which plurals of wefts and warps are alternately woven at predetermined intervals; and a raised fiber formed on the external surface of the basic fabric.
