PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time up to transfer to running on by alleviating an operator's burden. SOLUTION: A method for controlling a printer comprises a step of selectively designating a work to be executed from this time by the operator on a display. The method further comprises a step of selectively designating 'ink removing', 'blanket cleaning', 'impression cylinder cleaning', 'paper size presetting', 'paper thickness presetting', 'erasing and spraying', 'pre-inking 2', 'exposing' and 'trial printing' in the case of executing 'on-press platemaking + pre-inking 2'. When a start switch SW1 is pressed in the case of switching to next printing from previous printing, a start command is output, a work of a selectively designated item is automatically executed in a predetermined sequence. |
