PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent antioxidant obtained from a rosemary extract. SOLUTION: An antioxidant comprises: the standard retention time of rosemary acid (hereinafter, abbreviated to 'T') when analyzed by chromatography in the specific condition being -15.5±1 min and the ratio represented by an area percent (hereinafter, abbreviated to 'the ratio') of a molecular weight 198 component being not more than 1%; and the total ratio of a component wherein T is -2.6±1 min and the molecular weight is 478 and a component wherein T is 0.8±1 min and the molecular weight is 462 being not less than 4%. |
