<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator of two-chamber structure for use in a car air bag allowing the use of a thin partitioning member reduced in size and weight. SOLUTION: The gas generator is equipped with a housing 1 in a long stretching cylindrical shape with the two ends closed and the partitioning member 30 for partitioning inside the housing 1 a gas generation chamber 2 for accommodating gas generating agent 4 and a filter chamber 12 fitted with a filter material 10. The partitioning member 30 is fixed by caulking two places in front and rear parts of the partitioning member 30 inserting part from the peripheral edge of the housing 1.</p> |
