PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and stably prevent the occurrence of belt-like uneven brightness in a cold-rolled, annealed, and pickled steel strip of austenitic stainless steel. SOLUTION: In the method for preventing the belt-like uneven brightness of the cold-rolled austenitic stainless steel strip, austenitic stainless steel in which the value of A(γ) represented by A(γ)=30×(C+N)+0.5×Mn+Ni-1.3×Cr+11.8 is made to <+1.8, e.g. SUS304 or SUS304L of -1.6 to +1.6 A(γ) is hot-rolled, coiled at 300-600 deg.C, and then subjected to steps of annealing and pickling, cold rolling, finish annealing and pickling by ordinary method. In particular, it is desirable to apply, before coiling, forced cooling where the amount of cooling water is controlled to regulate a rise in coil temperature owing to recuperation after coiling so that the coil temperature does not exceed 600 deg.C.
|
