PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a filling amount of fuel in a container and realize a light weight and a cost reduction by making a plate thickness of a container body thin. SOLUTION: In the high pressure container for an automobile, a reinforcement pipe 5 is penetrated between a center part of a front side mirror 1b and a center part of a back side mirror 2b of the container body 4. Both axial ends of a hollow part 5a of the reinforcement pipe 5 are sealingly closed and holes 10, 11 communicating the hollow part 5a of the reinforcement pipe 5 with the inside of the container body 4 are formed on a part, positioned in the container body 4, of the reinforcement pipe 5.
