PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fuel combustion device aiming at improving ignitability, the durability of an ignition plug and moreover workability. SOLUTION: This liquid fuel combustion device A is provided with a vaporizer 2 having an electric heater 1, a burner head 3 fitted to this vaporizer and having a plurality of burner ports 4 provided inside the periphery, an ignition plug 5 with the tip portion 50A of an ignition rod 50 facing the inner face of the peripheral wall of the vaporizer and a high-voltage generator 13 connected with this ignition plug. In the liquid fuel combustion device A ejecting a gaseous mixture of the liquid fuel vaporized by the vaporizer with air from the burner port of the burner head and discharging to the inner face of the peripheral wall of the vaporizer from the tip face 50B of the ignition rod of the ignition plug to ignite and burn, the ignition rod of the ignition plug has such a constitution that its tip portion is bowed to straddle the peripheral wall of the vaporizer with its tip surface inclined to the inner face of the peripheral wall of the vaporizer.
