PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock control device which eliminates a fear of a lockout and enables authentication of a user to be surely realized with high reliability. SOLUTION: A microprocessor unit(MPU) 35 of the lock control device 34 checks an originator number of a calling signal against a registered originator number in a memory 38. When the originator number corresponds to the registered originator number, the MPU 35 outputs either a locking signal or an unlocking signal according to identification data in the memory 38. The device 34 can induce not only unlocking but also locking operations of a lock mechanism 21 according to the unlocking and locking signals. The device 34 can be used in such a manner as to be combined with the lock mechanism 21 which establishes a locking state, for example, in accordance with the locking operation. Adoption of the lock mechanism 21 allows sure elimination of occurrence of the so-called lockout.
