PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide shock absorbing technique capable of achieving high shock absorbing performance, and restricting overhang quantity sideways in receiving shock. SOLUTION: This device comprises columns 20 vertically provided at a specified interval from each other, and plural protective loops 30 of rope material of such a length that can be wound between the columns 20 and 20 held by a shock absorbing member 40 close to end parts of it to leave excessive length parts 31 and 31. The protective loops 30 are horizontally wound between the columns 20 and 20 in multiple stages.
