PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance design at fixed points of front and rear edges and to finish mounting work to a panel easily and speedily, in a horizontally long interior component for an automobile typified by a rear side trim of a traveling tray or the like. SOLUTION: A mounting pedestal 20 is formed so as to project toward a panel side on the rear surface of the interior component 10 at fixed points A, B, C, and D disposed at the front edge 10a and the rear edge 10b of the rear side trim 10, a boss 21 for engagement engaging with an engaging hole 172 of the car body panel 17 is formed in a highly rigid hollow box shape in a plate part 20a of the mounting pedestal 20, and a clip locking hole 22 for holding a resin clip engaging with the inside of a clip hole 173 of the car body panel 17 is opened in the adjacent plate part 20a.
