PURPOSE: A method for setup by using a master PIN code in a digital satellite broadcasting receiver is provided to easily reset up a PIN code and promptly use the digital satellite broadcasting receiver although users forget the PIN code, thereby reducing costs for after-sales service. CONSTITUTION: A method for setup by using a master PIN(Personal Identification Number) code in a digital satellite broadcasting receiver includes the steps of setting up a master PIN code at a digital satellite broadcasting receiver, a user's selecting a specific menu requiring for PIN code input at the satellite broadcasting receiver(S201), requiring the user to input a PIN code(S202), the user's inputting the master PIN code instead of the PIN code(S203), and providing functions of PIN code access and process to the user to change the PIN code when the set master PIN code is input(S204-S205). |
