PURPOSE: A method for synthesizing 4A type zeolite, a material used as a detergent builder and an ion exchanging material, using sodium aluminate extracted from bauxite as a raw material is provided. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of zeolite 4A comprises the processes of melting bauxite at a temperature of 160 to 240 deg.C using caustic soda, calcium oxide and sodium sulfate; filtering the molten solution, and removing organic matter from the filtered solution using activated carbon; obtaining an aqueous sodium aluminate solution by treating the organic matter removed solution using a cationic exchange resin into which sulfuric acid group (SO3¬-) or carboxyl group (COO¬-) are introduced, thereby removing iron oxides from the solution; and synthesizing zeolite 4A using the obtained aqueous sodium aluminate solution, wherein the cationic exchange resin is a styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer resin into which the sulfuric acid group (SO3¬-) such as Dowex Marathon C, Amberlite IR-120, Lewatit K-2621 and Amberlite IRC-150, and carboxyl group (COO¬-) are introduced, the cationic exchange resin has a particle size corresponding to a sieve size of 30 to 40 meshes and a surface area of 7 to 60 m¬2/g, and the filtration of the molten solution is made by using a siphon centrifugal machine.
