PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system which eliminates preparation of printing data for printing a cover part prior to printing and bookbinding. SOLUTION: There are provided a page data storage means for storing cover page data which becomes a cover and a back cover of a book and text page data which becomes a text of the book, a format setting means for setting different printing formats to the cover page data and the text page data, and an output means for continuously outputting to a printer, the cover page data and the text page data each having the different printing format set thereto. The printer prints a cover part and a text part to printing papers of different kinds on the basis of the printing formats set respectively to the cover page data and the text page data transmitted from a controller. Accordingly, the printing system can supply the printed papers corresponding to the cover part and the text part continuously to an automatic bookbinding machine.
