摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation apparatus for predicting a congestion status when reaching a congestion point for processing. SOLUTION: Congestion information is received from a VICS (S110), and the amount of change in congestion length is calculated (S160) for each congestion point and stored (S170) based on the difference between the previously stored congestion length and congestion length included in the received congestion information. Based on map data, distance from a current position to the congestion start point of a congestion point included in a path that becomes a candidate is obtained, and time for reaching the congestion start point is calculated based on the amount of change in a position being inputted from a position detector 21. The product of time until the congestion start point is reached and the amount of change in the congestion length of the congestion point being stored by S170 is obtained, and the prediction value of the congestion length when reaching the congestion point is obtained in addition to the current congestion length, thus calculating a path based on the prediction value.
