PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe capable of performing highly reliable measurement without being affected by vibration or the shape of a measuring article. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe 1 is composed of a damper material 4 comprising a material having excellent elasticity, the ultrasonic transmitter- receiver 5 having flexibility fixed to the front thereof, and an abrasion-resistant film 6 applied to the front thereof. Preferably, the damper material 4 is formed of a rubber or a soft polymer and the ultrasonic transmitter-receiver 5 is formed of a polymer piezoelectric element, a composite piezoelectric element or a coated ceramic piezoelectric element. The ultrasonic probe has flexibility, impact resistance and abrasion resistance as a whole.
