PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal dropping device for dropping a fixed quantity of a liquid crystal onto a substrate. SOLUTION: A dropping pot 10 for storing a fixed quantity of the liquid crystal which is supplied from a dispenser 50 is provided and a plunger 20 is inserted on the inner side of the dropping pot 10 movably up and down. The fixed quantity of the liquid crystal 40 precipitated at the inner bottom part of the dropping pot 10 can be made to forcibly flow out onto the substrate 60 below the dropping pot 10 through a flow-out hole 12 at the bottom part of the dropping pot, or an upper end opening part of the flow-out hole 12 at the bottom part of the dropping pot can be closed by downwardly moving the plunger 20 in the inner part of the dropping pot 10. The fixed quantity of the liquid crystal 40 stored in the dropping pot 10 can be precipitated at the inner bottom part of the dropping pot 10, or the upper end opening part of the flow-out hole 12 at the bottom part of the dropping pot can be opened when the plunger 20 is upwardly moved in the inner part of the dropping pot 10.
