摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method by which the wear resistance of the tip of a lever (fulcrum portion) in a clutch cover assembly and a metal plate to be slid therewith becomes higher. SOLUTION: In the surface treatment method for a fulcrum portion of a diaphragm spring of a clutch cover assembly and a metal plate to be slid therewith, the respective surfaces of the sliding parts of the fulcrum portion of the diaphragm spring in the clutch cover assembly and the metal plate as the faces to be treated are subjected to an electric discharge film treatment by using film material, so that the surfaces to be treated are covered with a discharge film layer of about <=50 nm, and further, a diffusion layer is formed on the insides of the surfaces to be treated.
