PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication robot capable of finding any person contained in a camera image using a camera moving. SOLUTION: Any person concerned is urged to approach by emitting the voice 'please embrace me' from a speaker 44. When an ultrasonic distance sensor 18 or a touch sensor has sensed an approach of person, the head 42 is directed upward, and the upper arms 32R and 32L and the front arms 36R and 36L are moved to take the form of embracing. Further the feature colour included in the image given by an eye camera 46 is stored. When the person separates again, the person who has embraced is found by sensing the feature colour contained in the eye camera 46.
