摘要 PURPOSE: An engine control method for reducing emission variability is provided to reduce the level of variability of exhaust gas emission from an engine by deciding the value of NOx with engine RPM(Revolution Per Minute) and function of MAP(Manifold Absolute Pressure). CONSTITUTION: An engine(10) is controlled by an ECU(Engine Control Unit,12), and exhaust gas is streamed through an exhaust pipe(14). A sensor unit(16) transmits a signal indicating the amount of NOx to the ECU, and the ECU receives signals from an engine RPM sensor(20). A control method of the engine includes sensing concentration of NOx in exhaust gas produced by the engine, generating a sensed NOx value for indicating the density, and controlling an engine control set point as the function of the sensed NOx value. The control system calculates a NOx difference value by subtracting a base NOx value from the sensed NOx value if an absolute value of the difference value exceeds a threshold, and modifies the set point as a function of the NOx difference value. The control method includes sensing engine RPM, sensing engine manifold absolute pressure, and determining the NOx value as a function of sensed engine RPM and MAP.
