PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device fabricating method is provided to reduce the reject ratio by reducing the permeability of an etchant with respect to a gate metal and prevent the generation of galvanic effect in spite of the existence of impurities between pixel electrodes and the gate metal, thereby reducing the loss of pixel electrode patterns. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display device includes the steps of doping photoresist(509) to predetermined portions of pixel areas and cutting areas of pad parts, etching pixel electrodes(508) in the cutting areas of the pad parts and the pixel areas undoped by the photoresist with Oxalic acid, and etching a gate metal(502a) in the cutting areas.
