Aggregation of services on network portals

A method of constructing a dynamic network portal 24 comprises accessing a service provider database 34 that includes a listing of service providers 42 that have self selected their inclusion into the service provider database 34 and displaying keyword links on the network portal 24 that are associated with the service providers 42 listed in the service provider database 34. The network portal 24 may display the service provider links on a nonexclusive selection basis. Upon activation of a keyword service link by a user, the network portal 24 displays service providers 42 from the service provider database 34 that offer services matching the selected keyword. Once a service provider 42 is selected by the user, a direct connection between the user and the service provider 42 is established.
