PURPOSE: An axial flow fan is provided to achieve improved cooling performance of heat exchanger and significantly reduce power consumption, while improving ride comfort. CONSTITUTION: An axial flow fan(10) comprises a hub(11); a plurality of blades(12) extended, in a radial direction, from the outer periphery of the hub; and a fan band(13) for interconnecting ends of blades. Each blade has a sweep angle which gradually changes direction from the maximum rearward angle of a blade root side to the maximum forward angle of a blade tip side, while the mid-chord line of each blade goes from the blade root toward the blade tip. Each blade has at least one flow distribution region where the sweep angle is inverted from the rearward to the forward direction of the blade root side, inverted again from the forward to the rearward direction of the blade root side, and connected to the forward direction of the blade tip side.
