PURPOSE: A gas generator is provided which is constructed so that each of fuel sources of hydrogen and oxygen produced from water are stored to contribute to safety of working environment, prevent high heating generated from electrolysis, and increase thermal efficiency by stably maintaining combustion sources of hydrogen and oxygen. CONSTITUTION: The gas generator comprises a supply part(1) comprising a water storage tank(11) which is installed inside the gas generator to store, raw material of combustion source, water, and a pump(12) for circulating water of the water storage tank(11) into the generator; an operation part(2) comprising first and second gas separators(21,21a) capable of separating a large amount of hydrogen and oxygen gases from water by electrolyzing water supplied from the supply part(1), and a radiator(22) for cooling the hydrogen and oxygen gases generated from the gas separators(21,21a); a gas storage part(3) comprising a gas reservoir(31) and a hydrogen reservoir(32) for separating and storing each combustion sources supplied from the operation part(2); and a control part(4) comprising an oxygen backflow cutoff controller(41) and hydrogen backflow cutoff controller(42) which are connected to cut off backflow of the combustion sources supplied from the storage part(3), and a hydrogen control valve(43) which is connected to the hydrogen backflow cutoff controller(42) to control pressure of hydrogen gas by a control means (M).
