PURPOSE: A method for searching a homepage setting of a browser and a device thereof are provided to induce a visitor to set a homepage of one's browser as a web site address of a server device by checking whether a homepage of the visitor is set as the web site address of the server device indirectly using a JavaScript, a cookie, etc. when the visitor connects to a web site of the server device, and supplying a profit to the visitor in the case that the homepage is set as the web site address. CONSTITUTION: A WWW server(11), an operating system(12), and a program unit(13) for searching a setting of a homepage of a browser are provided. The WWW server(11) charges a connection with the Internet, and the operating system(12) operates the WWW server(11) and the program unit(13). The program unit(13) processes a main page request of a visitor and a homepage setting identification checking request of a browser.
