PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the noise generated with a polarity change of the motor torque when restricting a fluctuation of engine speed with a motor in a vehicle loaded with the engine and the motor. SOLUTION: When controlling the motor torque MT of the motor to restrict a fluctuation of the engine torque (fluctuation of engine speed) during the idling operation in the cold condition that the engine operating condition is unstable, driving torque of the motor is controlled to be maintained in a negative torque polarity. During the control, over a period from a time when the computed motor torque MT is changed large in the positive torque polarity direction to a time when the motor torque MT exceeds the threshold value MT1 as a negative value near 0, the motor is controlled on the basis of the threshold value MT1 as the motor torque to prevent a change in the torque characteristic and to securely operate the motor as a generator. |
