PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust-preventive oil composition which has a sufficiently high rust-prevention property without using any barium or zinc rust preventive nor any film-forming agent such as alkylene oxide adducts of alkyl phenols, etc., and is sufficiently safe against the human body and the ecosystem. SOLUTION: The rust-preventive oil composition contains, in a base oil comprising a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil, from 1 to 10 mass % alkaline metal sulfonate, alkaline earth metal sulfonate (except for barium sulfonate) or amine sulfonate, and has a content of a compound having a group of formula (1) (wherein R<1> is an alkyl group; R<2> is an alkylene group; and m and n are each an integer) of <=1,000 mass ppm. Here, the contents of barium, zinc, chlorine and lead are each <=1,000 mass ppm. |
