PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a staying time calculator that enables the user to sufficiently enjoy time at each transit place by appropriately informing the user of its stayable time at each transit place so that the user may reach its destination at scheduled time. SOLUTION: This staying time calculator discriminates whether or not the calculator has received traffic information by repetitively executing changed information outputting operation even in a state where the main power supply is turned off (S300) and also discriminates whether or not the traffic information on the route to a destination is changed (S310). When the traffic information on the route is changed ('Yes' in S310), the calculator calculates the time required until the user reaches the destination and the stayable time of the user at each transit place (S350) and S370). When the stayable time each transit place is changed ('Yes' in S380), the calculator outputs the information on the changed stayable time (S390). In addition, the calculator is constituted so that the calculator may output the information on the changed stayable time to the portable telephone of the user provided at a distance from the vehicle through communication equipment. |
