PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take up a paper raw material having an overcoating layer including a polymerizable monomer on the base paper, on a paper take-up tube, and to completely polymerize the polymerizable monomer of the overcoating layer. SOLUTION: In this taking-up processing method of the paper raw material by heating the paper raw material having the overcoating layer including the polymerizable monomer on the base paper, drying the overcoating layer, then taking up the same on the paper take-up tube, and heating the overcoating layer to polymerize the polymerizable monomer, the heating history of a part of the taken-up paper raw material or its vicinity to which the heat from the heating environment is conducted last, is measured to grasp and control a polymerizing condition of the polymerizable monomer.
