PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce tension in a continuous form by reducing friction drag on the continuous form, prevent a contact part from staining due to contact between a guide surface and the continuous form, and simplify the apparatus structure. SOLUTION: In a travelling continuous form guide apparatus, a guiding curved surface to be vibrated is formed to curve about an axis, and there are provided a guide body 10 for guiding the continuous form in a desired direction at the guiding curved surface to be vibrated, and an exciting means 90 for causing the guiding curved surface to be vibrated to generate torsional ultrasonic vibration about the axis. Further, there may be another construction in which the guiding curved surface to be vibrated is capable of moving about the axis, and a movement drive means is provided for moving the guiding curved surface to be vibrated about the axis as well. The generation of torsional ultrasonic vibration, about the axis, of the guiding curved surface to be vibrated by means of the exciting means causes loops and nodes due to the vibrations of the guiding curved surface to be vibrated, so that the friction drag between the continuous form and the guiding curved surface is reduced and the guiding curved surface to be vibrated moves about the axis to scrape the continuous form, thus avoiding the stain due to ink transfer.
