PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for separating blood serum or blood plasma not floating an oily component in blood serum or blood plasma after centrifugal separation regardless of a centrifugal separation method. SOLUTION: The composition for separating blood serum or blood plasma consists of 100 pts.wt. of an oligomer of cyclopentadiene, 30-160 pts.wt. of a plasticizer, 0.1-6 pts.wt. of hydrophilic fine powdery silica, 1-50 pts.wt. of hydrophobic fine powdery silica and 0.1-2 pts.wt. of an organic gelling agent.
