PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for opening/closing an indoor-side glass-paned screen in a double window, which need not secure a space for opening the screen on an indoor side when the indoor-side glass-paned screen is opened/ closed. SOLUTION: According to the method, first and second glass-paned screens 8, 9 are arranged on an indoor side of a glass plate fixed in a window frame 1, in a manner being flush with each other on the same plane in a closed state. When the second glass-paned screen 9 is drawn toward the first glass-paned screen 8, the second glass-paned screen 9 is moved in a diagonally rearward direction, and then shifted from the first glass-paned screen 8 in a screen thickness direction. Then, the first and second glass-paned screens 8, 9 are linearly moved in a lateral direction while the second screen maintains its shifted state.
